Bayelsa Decides
According to the decision of the Independent National Electoral
Commission, the people of Bayelsa state, the home of the immediate past
president Goodluck Jonathan, will vote for their new governor on
Saturday, December 5.
The face-off is expected
between Timipre Marlin Sylva, a former governor of the state
representing the All Progressives Congress, and Henry Seriake Dickson, a
PDP hopeful and the incumbent governor of the state.
However,
the voting on December 5-6, 2015, failed to produce the winner due to
multiple irregularities and cancellations, especially in Southern Ijaw
local government area of the state. Now, the supplementary election is
on.
